Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:
· PhD with at leat two years experience, Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years or Masters degree with 6+ years experience in the Animal Health Industry
· Advanced training in the area of technical expertise, in particular virology, microbiology and immunology.
· Demonstrate knowledge of field
· Ability to propose new experimental designs
· Ability to plan and conduct laboratory experiments, and evaluate and interpret data
· Ability to provide training and guidance to laboratory personnel
· Ability to conduct probing experiments
· Ability to prepare technical reports, publications and oral presentations
· Act as a leader in absence of supervisor
· Appropriate level of understanding of applicable regulations
· Virus and bacterial isolation from clinical samples, virus purification, microbial characterization including but not limited to bio-chemical, EM, genetic, and protein characterization.
· Experience with in vitro assays and skills, including but not limited to, ELISA (all types), SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, Densitometry, Mab production, lab scale protein purification, EM, PCR, Cloning and standard expression systems, and bio-reactor growth.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
